Antropic just launched Claude for Small Business — a one-click plugin that connects Claude directly to the tools most businesses already use: QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, Docusign, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365.
It’s not a separate product you have to pay for. It’s a toggle within Claude Cowork, Anthropic’s agentic task platform. If you already have a Pro, Max, or Teams plan, you already have access.
What it does
Once connected, Claude can execute 15 ready-made workflows across finance, operations, sales, marketing, HR, and customer service. Specifically:
- Payroll planning — takes your cash position from QuickBooks, cross-references it with pending collections in PayPal, builds a 30-day forecast, and queues up reminders for you to approve before sending
- Monthly close — reconciles your books against transactions, flags what doesn’t match, writes a P&L in plain language, and packages everything to send directly to your accountant
- Campaign execution — detects slow periods in your sales data, analyzes campaign history in HubSpot, drafts the promotion, and generates assets in Canva in a single workflow
- Collections management, lead triage, contract review, tax preparation, and more — all available as slash commands or natural language prompts
Each workflow runs through Cowork. You start it, Claude shows you the plan, and nothing gets sent, published, or paid until you approve it.
How to install it
- Open the Claude desktop app (or claude.ai)
- Navigate to the Cowork view
- Search for the “Small Business” plugin and activate it with the toggle
- Connect the tools you already use (via OAuth — passwords aren’t shared with Claude)
- Pick a workflow and execute it
What’s available globally vs. what’s US-only
The connectors and workflows are available globally. QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, Docusign, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365 work wherever you have active accounts.
What hasn’t reached Latin America yet: the in-person tour (10 US cities only) and the free AI Fluency course is currently English-only. If you’re comfortable in English, you can access it on-demand at anthropic.skilljar.com — it’s worth keeping on your radar.
The privacy issue worth knowing about
Antropic is transparent about this, though they put it in the fine print: data privacy protection — specifically “we don’t train with your data” — applies only to Team and Enterprise plans.
If you’re on Pro or Max and run business workflows through Claude, Anthropic’s current privacy policy indicates that your sessions may be used to improve the models.
If you’re going to handle customer financial data or sensitive contracts, it’s worth reviewing this before connecting QuickBooks or Docusign. The Trust Center is at trust.anthropic.com.
Why it matters
Antropic is one of the last major AI labs to enter the SMB space — OpenAI launched ChatGPT Business in 2023. But the depth here is remarkable: 15 pre-built agentic workflows that span multiple tools in a single execution, not a chatbot with integrations bolted on. The QuickBooks + PayPal + HubSpot combination in particular covers a workflow — “what’s my cash position, what do I have pending collection, and what do I need to send” — that genuinely takes hours to do manually.
For Latin American businesses, the relevant context is that most of these tools are already in use in the region. QuickBooks is widely used in Argentina, Mexico, and Colombia; PayPal is a primary payment method for freelancers and agencies; HubSpot and Canva don’t need introduction. The infrastructure is already there. The question is whether it works with your existing account structure and whether you’re comfortable with the privacy trade-offs on your current plan.
