I want to introduce you to Huminn ( Huminn — Local-first news on your New Tab ), a Chrome extension I’ve been working on.
The Problem and Motivation
I was tired of social media algorithms, overloaded feed readers, and cloud services that track reading habits. I wanted a quick and distraction-free way to stay informed about topics I care about every time I open a new tab, without compromising my privacy.
What is Huminn?
It’s a local-first RSS reader for Chrome that transforms the New Tab page into a clean, private, and customizable panel for following your favorite news sources and blogs.
