Meta’s upcoming smart glasses could be a lot more wallet-friendly: The company is reportedly slashing the expected price of its ‘Hypernova’ glasses from $1,000+ to around $800, according to Bloomberg. The glasses are set to debut next month with a tiny heads-up-display built into one lens. If true, the price cut would mean that the company is willing to accept lower profit margins to make the AR headset more accessible, though style variations and prescription lenses could bump up the starting price.
