3. OpenAI eyes IPO to fund expansion plans: OpenAI CFO Sarah Friar has indicatedthat the company is targeting a 2027 listing, aiming for a valuation of $1 trillion. The fresh capital could help OpenAI fund its expansion plans, including its $500B Stargate project. The update comes on the heels of OpenAI’s recent corporate restructuring, which reduced its reliance on Microsoft and removed barriers to raising capital.
